God finally spoke to him

Fun fact, I tried to comment below the video three times, all got banned. People live in a lalalala I-can’t-hear-you! land, so weird.

To me an incoherent, kind of dubious story that ended with Koons talking about how he thought God finally spoke to him, clearing up doubts he’d had since he was a kid, back when God wouldn’t answer his desperate questions. Giving over 60K Christians exactly the confirmation they were looking for.

To me, those five words, clearly just a thought that popped into his head while he was talking to himself. I have discussions with myself like that all the time. No voice of a God (or devil or invisible muse) required.

Oh, a thought just popped into my head while writing that (again!).

Someone might object that I can’t know that words popping into my head aren’t the voice of God. But quite often those thoughts are really unpractical or just plain wrong. Not the voice of God then. Perhaps the voice of Satan? Or God and Satan taking turns talking to me?

How can believers tell the difference? I heard an answer to that once: if the suggestions are “wicked” it’s Satan talking. But like I said, what if the suggestions are unpractical or just wrong? Also Satan? - I’m so glad I wasn’t raised as a believer, that must be extremely tiring, second-guessing one’s own thoughts.
